First Piano Lesson at 90!

This new piano student had his first lesson on his 90th birthday! His message to other seniors is that, "you can learn a new past time at any age."

Learning a musical instrument, and making music improves your mood, combats depression, and generally improves your quality of life.

Learn something new

Sadly, some people think that the older we get, the harder it is to learn someting new. That's absolute hogwash, and there is research to prove it!

Stay mentally and physically agile

Even short term courses of piano instruction have shown improvements in hand function that correlate to physical therapy and exercise.

Decrease stress and depresssion

Playing piano is linked to improvements in immune systems and stress reduction
